As mentioned above, Raleigh–Durham International Airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 served by Southwest Airlines for domestic flights. Terminal 1 is the home of Concourse A with boarding gates A1-A9. Terminal 2 hosts international out/inbound flights. It is home of C (gates C1-C25) and D (gates D1 - D20) boarding gates, Concourses C and D.
Southwest Airlines is the only airline that serves at RDU Terminal 1. Terminal 1 offers the following services: See the services in Raleigh Durham Airport Terminal 1: ATMs, baggage carts, meeting areas, restroom, smoking areas, baby care facilities, chapel, mobile charging, spa, meditation room, food/drink, and retail concessions. Terminal 1 is divided into the ground and Concourse level. On the Ground level, you can find the check-in and the baggage claim. Remember, to access this area from the parking garage, and you should use a tunnel. On the Concourse level, boarding gates (A1 – A9) are located (currently used by Southwest Airlines only).
Terminal 2 hosts the international flights and is the largest terminal at RDU with its 36 gates and two concourses (C and D). This terminal offers a large variety of services, such as shops, restaurants, retails, and cafés. Terminal 2 also provides Airline clubs, located near the gate C3. Like Terminal 1, Terminal 2 has two levels too; one is the Baggage claim level, used to access the transportation services, baggage carousels, and airline baggage services. Another level is known as Ticketing level divides into Ticketing A/B, Ticketing C/D, and Ticketing E/F service areas.
RDU offers free shuttle bus service for passengers, mind that the Orange Bus serves passengers from Terminal 2 to 1, whereas the Purple Bus from Terminal 2 to 1. Besides, passengers can take an easy 5-10-minute walk between terminals.
